About special dinner
We plan a special dinner session in the evening of October 11, Friday at the Agnes Hotel And Apartments Tokyo, in honor of Prof. Minoru Taya’s 75th birthday to recognize his contributions to the symposium main theme.
The dinner is open to the attendees to the symposium and those who were once associated with Prof. Taya during his or her stay in his group as student or visiting scholar at various places that Prof. Taya studied , worked and taught; University of Tokyo (1963-1968), Sumitomo Heavy Industries (1968-1973), Northwestern University (1971-1979), University of Delaware (1979-1985), University of Washington (1986-1989, 1992-now), Tohoku University (1989-1992).
懇親会のご案内
「田谷先生の75歳の誕生日を祝う会」は、今年9月20日に75歳の誕生日を迎えることを契機に執り行うことを、発起人間で相談して決めさせていただきました。懇親会は10月11日の夕方に、Symposium会場近くのアグネスホテルのアグネスホールで執り行います。Symposiumには参加者いただけないご友人の方々にも楽しめる場として企画いたしますので、ぜひ参加いただけるようご検討をお願いします。
懇親会には田谷先生だけでなく、奥様やご子息のご家族もご一緒に参加いただけるとのことです。田谷先生の奥様は特に懇親会を楽しみにされていると伺っております。留学などで一緒だった懐かしい友人の方々に再会できるいい機会にもなると思いますので、ご参加をご検討いただきたくお願いいたします。
